LIfe as an video game analogy
Recently i have been playing this video game called "League of Legends." This game involves 10 player trying achieve the main objective of destroying their opponent's main base. Different types of character that can play different roles, such as physical carry, mage, or tank, are essential in good variety. My roles in this video game is tank and as a tank, it is my job to soak up as much as damage as possible and survive. Without the right equipment, a tank can be easily be shot down. Too much armor and no magic resistant leaves you vulnerable to a mage. Too much magic resistance and no armor leaves your defenseless against physical carries. As a tank you have to be prepared for anything. You guys are probably wondering how i am going to tie this within my life right? Well, as a student, a role as a tank should be a priority. As a student, you should have a good balance between your magic resistance and armor. Too much of one, and the other is left open for attack. There are times when I don't get enough studying done since socializing, going out to eat, and meeting new people. When a test comes, it bites me in the ass. Just like how a mage would totally own me up if i didn't have any magic resistance. Then there are instances where all i do is study, example last week. Last week was the most depressing week of all school year. It was almost like someone used "exhaust" on me(another video game term). almost everyday, i would come back to my room with the most depressed face. I learned then that too much studying isn't good for you either. Where is the balance in my life? is 200 armor and 100 magic resistance enough?

200 Armor and 100 magic resistance is not enough. As a tank you should have more than just armor and magic resistance. You also need to have health. If you have all of that armor and magic resistance with little health are you useless. With that health you can truly tank through anything. With warmogs at full stack, add around 1.5k health you can truly start becoming a tank with extremely high health regen. Now jon, how does this go into your life? Even though you may find that good balance, there are mages or physical carries (ME, bio, ochem, achem) that can own you if u have no health. Now where does the health regen come in? if you are trying to run away from life ( or the carries in the game) you need a way to recover. Being able to regenerate your health(i.e.) sleep you can quickly get back into the battle and own those minions and summoners. So..."Welcome to Summoner's Rift"
ReplyDeleteboth of you pay attention in english class. i actually would read these posts, but its bothering me so i cant read it.
ReplyDeleteyour balance is God. no joke. give Him some time at the beginning and end of your day, and he will SERIOUSLY make the rest of your day better and more manageable. idk how it happens but it just does
