LIfe as an video game analogy

Recently i have been playing this video game called "League of Legends." This game involves 10 player trying achieve the main objective of destroying their opponent's main base. Different types of character that can play different roles, such as physical carry, mage, or tank, are essential in good variety. My roles in this video game is tank and as a tank, it is my job to soak up as much as damage as possible and survive. Without the right equipment, a tank can be easily be shot down. Too much armor and no magic resistant leaves you vulnerable to a mage. Too much magic resistance and no armor leaves your defenseless against physical carries. As a tank you have to be prepared for anything. You guys are probably wondering how i am going to tie this within my life right? Well, as a student, a role as a tank should be a priority. As a student, you should have a good balance between your magic resistance and armor. Too much of one, and the other is left open for attack. There are times when I don't get enough studying done since socializing, going out to eat, and meeting new people. When a test comes, it bites me in the ass. Just like how a mage would totally own me up if i didn't have any magic resistance. Then there are instances where all i do is study, example last week. Last week was the most depressing week of all school year. It was almost like someone used "exhaust" on me(another video game term). almost everyday, i would come back to my room with the most depressed face. I learned then that too much studying isn't good for you either. Where is the balance in my life? is 200 armor and 100 magic resistance enough?

The Happenings : Back into the rhythm

Its now week 5 into my college experience. I survived midterms and several papers. Yet, there are challenges i still have to face. I love all my classes, except my english class. i dread going to that class. i got to say that b/w photography is my favorite class by far. its so entertain, the labs are fun, and it helps improve my hobbies. i hardly shoot digital... my social life up here is pretty good to. i am getting to know alot of people. But i think i am putting to much time into it. I need to get into the habbit of studying more. Next quarter is going to be hell. bummer
